How we work
A practical look at how AVY runs a project from first conversation to delivery and beyond.
Project plan
From first conversation to working outcome.
The 20
Everything starts with The 20. Not a sales meeting, not a pitch. A short, honest conversation to understand what the business needs, whether there is a fit, and what the next step would look like if there is.
If there is no fit, we say so. If there is, we scope the work together and agree what success looks like before any contract is signed.
The phases of the work
Every project follows a sequence: strategy, positioning, messaging, identity and delivery. The order matters because each phase depends on the one before it. Skipping or collapsing phases is what creates rework and budget overruns.
The timeline varies by scope. Some engagements can move quickly. Others need more time for alignment, especially when multiple stakeholders are involved.
Working with your team
The work is collaborative. We work closely with founders and marketing teams because the best output comes from people who understand the business deeply, not from assumptions made on the outside.
Your team stays involved at every key decision point. The output is yours from the start, and it is built to be used independently once the project closes.
After delivery
Most projects include a period of support after the main deliverables are in place. That could be guidance on rollout, content refinement, or design iterations as the brand is applied to new contexts. The aim is to make sure the work actually lands properly.
Frequently Asked Questions
About How we work
It depends on scope. A focused identity project might take a few weeks. A full strategy plus identity and website engagement usually runs several months because the work needs to unfold in the right order.
